Alexandra Figaro

Intern

Alexandra is a junior at the University of Maryland pursing a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and a Certificate in African American Studies. Alexandra is interning with the Academy as part of the University of Maryland’s Rawlings Undergraduate Leadership Fellows Program.  As a Rawlings Fellow, Alexandra is taking courses and activities that to promote a greater understanding of leadership in public life. In 2019 Alexandra served as a Legislative Intern for Delegate Jazz Lewis of Maryland.  During this internship, research legislation for the 2020 session, completed casework for constituents, and participated in meetings on behalf of the delegate.

In her free time, she is a senator-at-large for University of Maryland's Residence Hall Association, a member of the Student Honor Council under the University Student Judiciary, and a member of the National Residence Hall Honorary.
