John Rooney

John is a junior at Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island and is pursuing a B.A. in Political Science. John’s past experiences include working as a campaign volunteer in his hometown Darien, CT.  In this role he was responsible for canvassing voters, attending town meetings, and attending events with the city’s First Selectman, equivalent to a mayor.  He really enjoyed this role because it gave him the opportunity to learn firsthand about constituent diverse concerns, issues, and interests.

John is a very active as a volunteer and is a student assistant for the Humanities Forum and participant the Peer Ministry.  He is also the co-host of Above the Rim, a sports talk radio show on the Providence College radio channel.
