Mr. Smooke has worked for the Academy as a Research Associate since August of 2019. His first project completed was the Montgomery County Council: Legislative Branch Operations Assessment concluding in November of 2019. Additionally, Mr. Smooke, his NAPA team, and the National Academy of Sciences issued Report 4 on Tracking and Assessing Governance and Management Reform in the Nuclear Security Enterprise in the spring of 2020. He is currently working on the Final Report on Tracking and Assessing Governance and Management Reform in the Nuclear Security Enterprise and the Assessment of the National Park Service Museum Collections Storage Management. He provides additional support to the Academy's Quarterly Working Capital Fund Symposium. Mr. Smooke holds a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College in Government and Legal Studies.
