Leaving a Legacy

Ensure Your Lasting Support of Good Government

The Board of the Academy thanks you, our Fellows and friends, for your commitment to public service and your generous support of NAPA’s work over the past five decades. The Academy’s Congressional charter and outstanding Fellows position our organization to make valuable contributions to emerging issues at all levels of government. Our work has helped build more effective, efficient, accountable, and transparent organizations that benefit our fellow citizens and are models for good governance across the globe.

At the same time, our work is far from done. Our country and its federal, state, and local governments are confronted by increasingly difficult issues and problems that will benefit from the trusted advice of the Academy.

Perhaps you’re like many NAPA supporters who say, “I wish I could do more.” Leaving a gift to the National Academy of Public Administration Foundation (NAPAF) through your will or trust or by beneficiary designation is an opportunity to do so. This can help ensure that your values that promote good government, producing positive results for all citizens, will continue to have impact through the Academy’s expertise.

We know that there are many worthy causes, and we are pleased that the NAPAF is one you are considering.

What is Legacy Giving?

A legacy gift is a contribution that is arranged in the present and allocated at a future date. Taking the time to plan ahead today ensures the organizations and values that you care about are supported in the future.

How You Benefit from Giving

  • Your gift costs you nothing now.

  • You retain your assets until you no longer need them.

  • You are not locked in to a decision you make today and can change your beneficiaries at any time.

  • You can leave gifts to loved ones and leave a gift for NAPA.

  • You can reduce your estate taxes.

  • You can remain anonymous, should you choose to do so.

  • You ensure your lasting legacy in the work to ensure government at all levels is effective, efficient, accountable, and transparent.
