The NAPA Standing Panel on International Relations met at a routine session on Friday, 25 August 2017 at NAPA Headquarters and hosted The Honorable Jeffrey J. Grieco, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Afghanistan-American Chamber of Commerce (AACC). AACC is the leading organization facilitating U.S.- Afghanistan business, investment, and trade relations through a combination of program, education and informational activities. Mr. Grieco is also the former United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Assistant Administrator for Legislative and Public Affairs. Capitalizing on his public and previous private sector experience, he delivered a compelling review of Afghanistan's current and future challenges and possible private sector led solutions. He reviewed the Afghanistan-U.S. bilateral economic relationship and the needed steps to better engage the private sectors of the U.S. and Afghanistan in helping stabilize Afghanistan long term.

NAPA’s President and CEO Teresa W. Gerton, together with NAPA Fellows and associates (Dr. Matthew S. Mingus, Professor and Director, School of Public Affairs and Administration, Western Michigan University, Via Video Conferencing); U.S. State Department representatives; members of the AACC Board of Directors; President and Executive Director of the International Stability Operations Association (ISOA); President of the Institute for Stabilization and Transition (IST); and other distinguished guests attended this very informative and lively session.
